Debs, this is a pattern for you, isn't it? I remember posts like this regularly, right back to when you joined the forum. Forgive me for being so frank, but you have a recurring pattern of setting yourself up for failure: -you set over ambitious targets for yourself -you keep them for a while, celebrate, and anticipate huge success -then you slip, get very cross with yourself, declare you will get back on the wagon -then you struggle, in the grip of food addiction and carb cravings -then you disappear for months at a time, as you binge out of control PLEASE recognise this pattern, and consciously nip it in the bud this time. I can think of several baby steps that will help you, if you are willing to do it: -don't set such harshly unrealistic targets. What normal human being could possibly Fast when on holiday with their kids in Junk Food Heaven where food is a major social fun activity? Either don't go to these places, or stuff yourself with filling low carb food first. Going in hungry is a recipe for disaster. -think of control, rather than denial -stop beating yourself up and declaring that you will go back into Major Fast Mode. you are just setting yourself up for failure. -and finally, PLEASE DON'T stop visiting the forum if you really do fall off the wagon. This forum is the best thing you can do to get BACK on the wagon. Once again, sorry to be so frank, but you REALLY NEED TO HEAR THIS. Have a hug. - oh, and do you know why I feel qualified to say this to you? Been there, done that, and still have an XXXL T shirt in the back of the wardrobe to prove it.
