My Medtronic 7 day infusion set detaches itself, have you experienced this?

Hello
I switched from the Medtronic Sure T to their 7 day infusion set 6 weeks ago. I wear them on the outside of my thigh as I find it more comfortable and practical there.

But on at least 6 occasions the infusion set has detached itself from the cannula. This is not the cannula coming unstuck and coming out but the tubing connector undoing itself so I find the tubing detached. This normally happens when I'm asleep and am laying on my thigh that has the cannula but it has happened when I'm up and around too.

I've reported this to Medtronic but just wondered if it's just me or if you might have experienced it and whether there might be an issue with the design. I've worn the Sure Ts for 16 years in the same way and this never happened with them.

Thanks

I’ve been using the extended infusion sets for over 2 years and I’ve only ever experienced 1 similar problem, but that was my fault for not securing the connector correctly.

The Extended infusion set connector’s physical structure is identical to that of the standard set and I’m not aware of any such issues with those.

I hope that with more experience the problem will resolve itself.
