I view my meter in the same light as my bathroom scales. Neither agree with uber accurate medical machines, but as long as they are consistant, I can see the trend.
A meter that reads +1 is far better than one that is -1
Incidentally, I run an Accuchek and was struggling with some readings, I called them & was sent batteries & calibration fluid, 1 new drum of strips and, when that didn't help, a replacement meter, all free of charge from helpful polite staff.
