Type 2
My daily pin prick in the morning has been going up and up these past few days. Until finally this morning it was 14.3
I’m really worried and I don’t feel 100%. Any ideas and how can I bring it down?

To help us make some suggestions, can you give us a little more info about how you control your type 2. Are you on any medication and do you eat a particular diet? Maybe tell us what you eat in a typical day?
Remember also that there are many reasons for a high blood sugar aside from anything you eat such as stress and illness.

Hi. I take one Alogliptin 25mg per day. A typical days eating would be 30gr cereal skimmed milk. Protein of some description at lunch. Then I don’t eat again after 2.30pm until next morning. I sometimes have a couple of biscuits, but not always
I have had a blocked tube in my ear and had antibiotics for that but they havnt worked. I’m constantly stressed about various things, and am awaiting another scan for Spinal Stenosis, so constant pain.

Have you ever thought about reducing the carbs in your diet. I eat low carb and never eat cereal or biscuits, however if that’s what you normally eat and your levels have risen recently, I suspect the infection along with stress is affecting your levels.
