Since I was diagnosed as type 2 I have forced myself to go for a 40 minute walk each day. This week at the midpoint of my walk I started to jog for a 100 meters and today even managed a sprint to my imaginary finish line. In front of me in real life about 3 miles away on the horizon is Windsor Castle. One of the real side benefits of having to go for may walk is that I am able to listen to my favourite music from the 70;s that I have saved on Spotify. So when I went into slow motion for my ROCKY moment on my sprinted 100 metres the song that came on was Bridge over Troubled Water, It just seemed so APT for me at this time....I though I would share with you the songs I listened to on my 40 minute walk today.
Young Gifted and Black
Everything I Own
Hurt So Good
Help Me Make it Through The NIght
Its the same old song
The sound of silence
Bridge over troubed water
Vincent
American Pie
If you're not back in love by MOnday
Smooth Operator
Upton Court Park is in Slough on the North Side of Windsor Castle and the walk, that music, the sprint finish reminds you how sweet and how beautiful life is. Without my diagnosis I would still be worrying about my business breakfast meetings.!! Plus my BS is down to below 6 in 3 weeks!!
