Hi Ty, we had the same problem as my daughter is a pasta monster. We just had to bargain with her and tell her she could eat what she wants and the amounts she wants as long as she eats it at the mealtimes so the insulin can counter balance it. She finds it very difficult when others get things outside of mealtimes but she does get to take them home with her and then she gets them at mealtimes. She is now getting to like the power of having the treat long after her siblings have eaten theirs. It is a balancing game and there is a lot of negotiations. I have found the easiest way is to say "I am not saying you can't have it you just can't have it now but you will definitely be able to have it next mealtime". Hope this is some use
