Hello everyone, I recently had some stomach problems and they did blood work. And one test was flagged.the Hba1c. Was a 6.0. I see my regular DR this Wednesday. Nothing was mentioned at the appt. They told me my test were fine. After I saw my test results, I looked up that test. Am I pre diabetic?
 
Hi Donna, if that is an HbA1c of 6.0% then it is equivalent to 42 mmol/mol and just on the cusp of being prediabetic.

Don't panic, some changes to diet should enable you to manage it back down, specifically reduction of starchy carbs and sugars.

Have a read around and ask any more questions :)
