@BarbaraG, you obviously like techy stuff, so wondered if you've had a look at these very creative and resourceful people:

This guy's figured out how to hack a Smartwatch to turn it into a Dexcom style transmitter for the libre:
https://github.com/pimpimmi/LibreAlarm/wiki

And this guy has bulit a transmitter from scratch:

Am tagging @tim2000s as I recall he built one too (although, Tim, I have to say my recollection from the photo is that I would have chosen a different colour for the arm band!)

This one is a bit clunkier: have to wear a whole phone on your arm but still Dex's the libre.

Maybe not a priority for those not troubled with night hypos, but a bit of a gift for those who are.

PS: if we're talking technology, why can't I play music on my meter? Shouldn't it have a built in Taser for people who tell me you're diabetic, you can't eat that?

@Scott-C - well, thank you for all of those.

You're right, I do enjoy tech, and once upon a time I would have been all over this with a soldering iron. However, these days I prefer my tech out of a box and working. I can wait until they are fully productised.

Truth be told, I don't need the Libre in the way that someone using insulin can say they need it. I Ike it, though :)
