Hello. Is myfitnesspal UK or US because I can't understand the value of the carbs. They are completely different from my carb counter Collins gem book?

I'll bump your post up as there are people here who use this. Sorry cannot help personally.

as far as i can see myfitnesspal must be american. at least there are people from all over the world using the site. i do not use any other carb counter book but when i am logging food i tend to look at the labels and check that they are correct or there abouts at least.

i do concentrate on the level in carbs and not the fibre or sugar items.

hope this helps

I use my fitness pal every day. It is an American site, so the way to make it easier is to type in either the brand name, or the supermarket name then the product. American measurements tend to be in cups or ounces, so if one of those comes up, that is probably an American item. UK items are usually grams and slices, but this is not always the case, so be careful or you could end up with the wrong information.

Check the products like Claymic does, to ensure that you are on the right track. As you use items they are saved onto your food lists, making it easier to know the right ones for you. You can also add regular meals, that is also easier as your own items that you know are right carb wise are used.

I am from the UK and I use it every day. I have compared it to items I have bought and they always come up correct. The only thing different is they see chips and crisps so thats something I have to figure out myself!

How many carbs do they say you can have?It says 165 for me don't know how they have worked that out. I'm not trying to loose weight good job too that sounds a lot don't you think.
I stay at 50 haven't lost or gained a pound. I must say MFP has helped a lot. My BS is keeping pretty good at the moment

They calculate it based on amount of calories you should have. the % they use are their own but you can change them. if you go in profile and change goals (i think) and you can change the grammes for carb protein fat etc. i think i have my carb at 10 or 15%
