I am Type 1 Have been using Mylife App
To calculate my Insulin I count carbs
But it seems this App is not go to be available from Dec26
I have been using for Year I Inject my Insulin
Bolus 3 times a day this App calculated
How much I need to take ?
 
? Was does anyone else’s use this App ?
Or what App do you use to Calculate your
Insulin for Food

You may have already heard: Ypsomed/mylife Diabetescare has announced that it will be discontinuing the mylife app, the mylife software, and the mylife Cloud by the end of December 2026.

As a replacement, they recommend switching to mylife Loop (CamAPS FX)—but for many of us, that’s simply not an option we want. I want to manage my insulin pump therapy myself. I want to decide for myself when I bolus, how I set my basal rate, and when I take pump breaks. And it’s precisely during these breaks that I use the mylife app as a bolus calculator for my ICT. I use the nutracheck app to count the carbs. Then calculate the insulin dose based on the carbs/insulin ratio which works for me,
 
Hi @TaylorScotland , could you email the app producers and ask them to suggest an alternative for non pump users?

(Then share here for others.)

Before I was on a pump I used to do the calculations in my head (but as I became diabetic in pre-calculator days and have always been good at maths, it never occurred to me to use an app or calculator). Now I admit I use the app on my pump, but my basic maths skills are still a check to ensure that I haven't entered something wrong which might give me an outrageous dose.

It was pointed out to me some years ago that i have an analytical mind.....
I laughed it off but the friend of mine who pointed it out was also a type 1.
We both have a libre and 100 years experience between us and we both work everything out for ourselves.
I do not want to appear smug as i sometimes get it right and sometimes wrong and have to eat more or go for a walk accordingly.

They just don’t seem to be changing minds.
Mylife App is not just a calculator it records
Everything keeps you on track.
 

Tony that is great for you but Mylife saves lots of time I enter my Blood Sugars / Carbs having
Then calculate it also tells me how much Insulin I have still on board I also Input overnight Basil it just keeps me on track.

Hi
I wasn't being critical just saying what i do and i don't get it right all the time.
I would not recommend my way of doing things to anyone as it only works for me.
My cgm is integral to my wellbeing without it i would be lost.
