What are the purple lines for on the bar at the top?

I haven't got those purple lines on mine, which is the basic free one. Is this the upgraded app or the basic free one?

Yep, mine is upgraded

Didn't have them before I upgraded so it must be listed in the premium items but I can't identify from activity

I think they're activity indicators - does your phone track your steps and such, or do you have an Apple watch? Those sorts of things will automatically add it to the app as far as I'm aware.

Mine's an upgrade too. I've never seen those. Do the values give a clue? Could it be carbs, insulin, exercise....?

Ahhh that would be the likeliest answer, it is linked to my Google Fit and would absolutely match as to why nothing corresponds on the timeline below the bar!

Thank you, it's been driving me insane!

No problem, glad I could help!

Sadly not, hence my confusion - they never linked to the timeline either! Thankfully as @vanillapie suggested, it does match my activity on my Google Fit - forgot I had linked the two (it's not really worth it (for me) btw, I take carbs from MyFitnessPal and monitor actively separately via my Fitbit).

Just thought to ask as this is a thread touching on the MySugr app I was wondering how accurate the estimated HbA1c is as I have only been using the app a few weeks now?

All it is is your average converted to the HbA1c units, so if your average is 6.6 it will show an estimated HbA1c of 40 (5.8%). It therefore depends entirely on the figures you enter and whether they are representative of all occasions. It is no different from entering them all on a spreadsheet and averaging.

Thanks @Bluetit1802 I had thought as much just wondered how well people had found it to correlate to actual HbA1c results as it's estimating 35 at the moment which is what my last HbA1c test came back as a few months ago.

Well, mine is showing 33.1 estimated, which would be wonderful, but highly unrealistic, and I test before and twice after meals. I believe @Rachox finds it accurate. There must be an element of luck involved, depending on peaks and catching them, and how long they last.

I test between 4 and 7 times per day depending on illness, stress, new foods etc.. my last three HbA1cs compare as follows:

Sept ‘17 Lab result 36. MySugr 34.4

Dec. ‘17 Lab result 33. MySugr 33.9

Feb. ‘18 Lab result 35. MySugr 34.0

Edit wrong date.

Pretty close then I test pretty much on every meal before and at 1 and 2 hours some times just at two hours depending on how I feel and how motivated I am.
