NAFLD is a known co-morbidity associated with diabetes. Recent research has shown that Vitamin E supplementation can alleviate the condition and it is now a recommended treatment. However, there is also research that shows that overdosing on Vitamin E can be toxic, so the dose is usually limited to 400 IU per day, but supplememts can come in 1000 IU caps so beware.
I have just come across the following research that seems to show that diabetics do not benefit from this treartment.
