Hello everyone,

I'm a type 1 diabetic (for 27 years) and have over the past few months been using a lower carb diet.

Has anyone else in a low carb diet noticed changes to their nails?

I seem to have something called Terry's nails (can be linked with liver and renal problems but my recent bloods have been fine).

White at the bottom part of of the nail bed!

Thanks x

Bullies.
I would suggest that you get a medical diagnosis for your nail problem and an investigation as to cause. It is not unknown for Terry's Nails to precede renal impairment.

Take care

Thanks - it's on all my finger - had bloods done last week and due to see doctor this week!
I assume if it does precede renal impairment but my function is okay at the moment then looking after myself and control can delay that?!?!
