soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I suspect "bucky balls" I have been wondering On and off when buckminsterfullerine would be used to deliver medicines, since they can be made of pure carbon, it should work.

Lack of choice of insulin for newly diagnosed patients.
Dog owners who let their dogs poop in the street-a hazard for most, but worse if you're visually impaired!

A cure would be good news for type-1s- this I'm as sceptical about as I am about "modern" synthetic insulins.
For the majority of type-1s injections are not painful, and if it is occasionally so what, it's no more painful than bashing my leg with my bike padal. it's just something you get used to. Of course for children, daily injections can be painful and upsetting, so perhaps a pill form would be helpful for younger type-1s. Personally I'd favour injections over tablets any day, but I hate taking tablets, always had a bit of a phobia. Love needles though!
I'd still rather the money being spent to develop these insulin delivery systems, like the failed inhalers, were put into research to find a cure.
