NECK PAIN

Just a quick question - Ever since I have this decease (T2) - 1 year - I have some sever headaches in the neck coming from down and going up into the brain....its not every day but when it comes its mostly 3 days and starts in the afternoon....anybody experiencing the same? I wonder why?

My blood pressure is 137 to 91 - a little high - but as I cannot monitor my blood pressure all the time it probably swings between 125 and 145.....so you think the headaches are on when Im 145 and my sugar is high after eating?

You might be right.....its normally some time after eating that it comes or if I dont eat - I had a long period where I didnt have any headaches....maybe Im too low on medicine even my readings are good 5.6-6.0 - 2 hours after eating....

I take high blood pressure medicine 80MG daily....

Hi KWCOO,

Have you seen your GP about the headaches and neck pain?
I would certainly advise you to consult them. Any diagnosis should be made on the strength of further questions and an examination as well what you have posted here.

I hope you get it sorted soon - I get stress headaches and migraines, which are nothing like yours, but it's still not fun!

Been to my doctor - he says its stress headaches and that they are connected with my diabetes.....as it was usual 10 mins consultation I didnt get a clear explanation of why and how this works....

So if there is anybody out there that can help on what this means and it works - I have done everything I can to stop stress in my life, but still it seems as if Im not managing my stress levels well....?

I'm assuming you've had all the advice on how to de-stress, so I won't go through it all again

I'd suggest seeing a physiotherapist or chiropractor or osteopath. They should loosen up your neck muscles with massage and offer advise on how to relax. I find just doing something, especially proactively, destresses me a bit.

If you are interested in looking into the options make sure you research it properly.

I hope you can get it resolved soon!
