Need Help !!! Newbe

Hi.
My name is Mary, i will be 60 in a few days,im over weight and since october 2008 have type 2.On metformin 500mg 2 x aday.Before i went to the doctors i had a bad taste and dry mouth,my bsl was 12, my nurse wants it down to 7-8. Changed my diet starting to lose weight bsl down to 7-8 some times 6, dry mouth went nurse happy and so was i. Christmas went well .Caught a chest infection just got over that, now every things gone to pot.Dry mouths back cant seem to get bls under 9, feeling tired and dont know what to do, any advice or help would be greatful. I also have to take omeprazole 20mg 2 to3 times for gastro resistant been on them about 11years also take etoricoxib 1 x aday for rheumatoid arthritis for 2 years. This is my first post sorry if its not up to scratch im new at this to. TAKE CARE TO ALL

Mary, you really need to make an appointment with your GP/nurse. There are many reasons why your blood sugar levels can rise, illness being one of them. You may need an increase in, or change of, medication but nobody here can advise you about that.

Don't despair, though! Many of us have the occasional blip and soon get back to safe levels.
