Hi all been some time since I last posted had my last HB1AC in April was 45 Doctor said it was satisfactory but wanted it back in normal range.
Since I’ve split up with my partner and can’t stop drinking alcohol mainly beer and eating the wrong foods, mainly a sugar rush. I’m guessing I would be in diabetic range now
Would really like to be back into keto diet that saw me drop HB1AC from 110 to 39.
I just can’t get the motivation any one else gone off the rails like me?

Going through a divorce and selling my house.. the temptation to eat like **** is there. And this past week I have in some way done that but got to get back to how I was before.

Being in control of what I eat is the only 'control' in my life that's mine. Can't help thinking how much worse life would be if I were out of control.

It's not the taking part that's important, it's the getting back on the horse when you fall off that's the most important.

You're on here so that's a start already.

What are the reasons you want to have it back in control? Write them down and keep them to hand.

The sooner you get back on it the better. I've yo-yo'd between extreme high A1c and healthy A1c a few times. You can get back on track.

Laconic, you’re here, posting and have a desire to be doing a bit better. What’s not to like?
one step at a time. You’re doing just fine. You’ll get there.

2 australin lady doctors run a site and podcast called Real Liife Medicine.
They have very good tips on how to get on track, or get back on track etc. I'd start with their blog posts. Very realistic and achievable
Here's their Christmas one, just to get you started

I’m wondering if it’s the weather? I’ve just posted I’m feeling down in the dumps. My husband died 3 years ago at the young age of 62. Some days are worse than others and I’ve fallen off my keto style in the last 2 weeks. I’m back on the list for a back operation after getting my hba1c back down to acceptable levels for that, so you'd think I wouldn’t want to jeopardise that!
Thank you @MrsA2 for that link.

Wow! Thanks for the link. @MrsA2! I love the Fluffy analogy, because that’s exactly what I feel. I have been training my brain for weeks to disregard sweet cravings and yesterday I had one drop (ONE instead of 5) drop of sweetener in my kefir. BG shot up and stayed up. Now all I want is a mince pie - or 6.
