Also be as harsh as you like and tell me straight as I’m angry with myself to not obviously getting it rightHi I’m still sorry this is my 3rd post. I thought I had understood everything and had got my BG down from 20 to 7.1 to 5.7 was only having 20/30 carbs per day for weeks .. had few extra carbs re rice ( tiny bit) teeny bit potato in a soup ect.. had a piece of sour dough bread today bloods went to 11.4 after 2 hours but then dropped to 4.2 then 5.1 ?? I’m so confused in 30 mins and after those results? But what should I be doing as I was trying to introduce carbs after being almost keto for nearly a month? Please please some one say what I’m doing wrong as I’m losing the will as I thought I was understanding it all but obviously I’m not.

You are reacting to carbs exactly as a type 2 would - introducing more carbs might be possible at some point, but as in maybe 5 gm per day a couple of times a week, but bread rice and potatoes are high carb and so your BG went up - we have a slow initial insulin response, and then your pancreas panicked and your levels fell rapidly.
