Hi i am 30 yrs old and diabetic taking insulin. I am pregnant and my hba1c is 9.7
Dr has adviced me to go for abortion as it might have damaged my baby. He has said there is 20 % chances of this
As this iis my first pregnancy what should i do? This isy 6 tth week and i am very tensed. Please suggest
Has this damaged the brain or any other part of my baby.

No-one else but you can make such a difficult decision. I wish you all the luck in whatever you decide.

What a terrible decision to have to make. This is something that you and your partner have to discuss. There is nothing I can say that will help you but I would like you to know that I am thinking about you.

I am hoping that other mums who started their pregnancy with a high HBA1c will come forward to tell you their story.

I am so sorry for you and your partner.

All I can advise is that you find out as much as possible about the risks, and take the advice of people with expertise in the area.

I'm not able to offer any other suggestions, because it has to be your choice.
 
Thanks to all for ur advice! Can any one telltell me that is there any test which cam tell about overall growth of baby including brain development
