I get a lot of pain in my feet feels likes nettles stinging very painful hot doctor said its my diabetes has any else got this .i am in a wheelchair need to get weight. Down .on Metformin 500 mg one morning and evening .NovoRapid 34/30/30 .Lantus Solostar. 78 at night and Victoza 1.2 as well as others meds .have started on a low carb diet but find is so hard need to lose 8 stone can any one please help me I am getting so depressed by it all .
 
Hi. It looks like you are on fixed doses of the NovoRapid. Has your DN explained carb-counting to you? It helps maintain the best blood sugar with a lower risk of hypos. What sort of food are you currently having? I realise it may be more difficult for you with the wheelchair. You can have a good range of fried foods such as eggs and bacon for breakfast or whenever, cheese at any time and so on. Usually with a low-carb diet and enough proteins and fats you can avoid the carb-high that can drive the hunger for more.
