Hi folks, quick question. Am having a long day today, and will be having an extra meal. These are over 4 hours apart, do I take my novorapid before each meal? Ie instead of 3 meals and 3 injections 4 meals and 4 injections?

Yes Roddy - you should bolus for each meal as you eat it, otherwise your levels would start to increase

Yup, that'w what I do when I fly to the US and then just wind my basal time back to local time at destination.

Extra meal gives an extra time for a correction

Hi there,
You are better off taking it prior to meals so that the insulin action kicks in asap and take out the excess sugars. This way the sugar level won't rise sharply. Hope that helps
