Apologies for the delay in responding, I've had some complications with my knee surgery. In short my knee swelled up hugely over a couple of days, I couldn't weight bear and was in agony all the time. Cue a couple of trips to A&E as advised by NHS 111, where I was sent home again with a packet of codeine(!) and advised to see my GP, saw my (furious) GP who phoned the Orthopaedic SHO and sent me straight back to the hospital. The Ortho SHO did some investigation, aspirated my knee and discovered it was blood, so 2 massive needles, and nearly 500ml of blood later I was admitted on to a ward!
Obviously my BG has been all over the place (when I've been bothered to test), so I'll carry this test on when things have settled down a bit.
