Yeah, he got me a bowl of cereal, but as I say my sugar levels weren't horrifically low. My boyfriends very clued up on diabetes, and always makes sure there's enough sugary stuff in our room and around the house incase of any hypos.sounds perfectly acceptable that you were suffering from a hypo.......
its sound like it anyway..........would your boyfriend have treated your hypo...........?
all the symptoms are there and it sounded like a bad one in terms of your bodies response to it......may have been a rather quick drop in BG........
No these aren't my usual symptoms of having a hypo, that's why I was so confused. I normally get really bad palpitations, and get a really cold sweat. :/Sounds like hypo symptoms. Is this hypo feeling different than you usually get?
Oh that would explain a lot. I understand now! Thanks! If you have one of those unconscious hypos and fail to treat it, your body will eventually dump glucose from glycogen stores to raise you BGs up, so it sounds like you went very low and the headache is a symptom of glycogen release. This would also account for your (alleged) strange behaviour
So would that explain the confusion and extreme memory loss? Gee, it actually felt like I had some sort of amnesia or something. If you have one of those unconscious hypos and fail to treat it, your body will eventually dump glucose from glycogen stores to raise you BGs up, so it sounds like you went very low and the headache is a symptom of glycogen release. I have only had this once in my diabetic career, when first diagnosed in 1972. I was out walking for the afternoon with a friend and I remember 'coming to' when we were back home eating some cake (I must have a good autopilotSo would that explain the confusion and extreme memory loss? Oh right, sounds very like my morning yesterday, my boyfriend said I was really unresponsive. Pretty scary. Hopefully that cake helped you outI have only had this once in my diabetic career, when first diagnosed in 1972. My friend said I had been very quiet and unresponsive.
