- Having high blood sugars!!!!!
I've been married to hubby (Gary ) for the past 14yrs, and every so often, he's said to me that he hasn't felt well, like he's felt hypo, so we've checked his sugars and they've come in between normal range.
But for the past couple of days, he's been complaining of feeling weak and tired, so we've checked his blood sugars, and they've been around 4, even after a decent lunch, I've now sent him into work with lucozade and glucose tablets, as he works on the railways, today he's gone to work on toast and tea (2 sugars), plus he's had 2 cups of hot chocolate, plus 2 glucose tablets as he felt unwell. When he got in he was shaking and unable to string a sentance together checked his blood it was 4.1. So I rang NHS direct, they said it wasn't a hypo level, but they told me to get an emergency Dr's app, just to be on the safeside. At the moment he is sleeping, because he says he feels tired and that he dosen't want to go to the emegency GP, he says he would rather go tomorrow. I'm worried because it was totally different for when I was diagnosed, and I really know nothing about making too much insulin. . He recently went down with the Novo virus, could this have triggered something?? Or should I act like a cave women and beat him over the head and drag him to the emergency Dr's
