I’ve recently had my diabetes review with my consultant and they’re doing a test on me to see whether my Lantus is lasting 24 hours or whether I’m going to be switched to levemir. Anyone to talk to about a low carb diet would be great please

Kaate - you might get more responses in the T1 area, rather then the young folks' if you want to discuss a lower carb way of eating.

Hi @Kaate You can yourself do a basal test to check this: http://www.salforddiabetescare.co.uk/index2.php?nav_id=1007

If it is running out then you can split your dose to cover the full 24 hours, or you could change to tresiba which is a longer acting basal insulin - 36 hours approx.
