I've been a type 1 diabetic for 1 year now

During the year I have gained 2 stones and today found out that my hba1c 72% BP was high as well as cholesterol at 7

Has anyone had this in the past and how have they helped themselves to improve results

Feel anxious and scared
 
Welcome to the forum. I was diagnosed four months ago (type 1 like you) and this has been an incredible place to get help and support. This forum helped me get my a1c down from 13.2%/121 (depending which measurement you use) to 6.0%/42 in three months.

Are you able to elaborate a bit more about your situation?
Was your 72 a1c a surprise or did you expect it to be that high?
Have you always had high cholesterol or is this new for you?
You mentioned you gained 2 stones, but how much did you lose before your diagnosis (if any)?

Are you on MDI (a basal/bolus regime) and do you carb count? Torq has asked a good question about your weight loss prior to being diagnosed. I'd also ask if your eating habits have changed at all - that is, are you eating more now you have diabetes?
