Can anybody help? I've had type 1 diabetes for nearly 20 years now. I have really good blood readings and I'm in the gym 4-5 days a week, play football and I'm a postman so get a lot of exercise. For some reason over the past 6-8 months I'm going for a wee every 30-40 mins. I'm also struggling to hold it in if I can't get to a toilet in time. I have a high protein diet which comes from protein shakes, chicken, fish and eggs. I'm not going to lie, I like a drink on a weekend but haven't drank for 6 weeks and still no change! Just wondered if anybody had experienced anything similar? I've spoke to my doctor but he doesn't seem to have a clue.
Hi RDD, similar problem, mine due to BPH shrinking the bladder size. As already advised ask to see urologist they will investigate and hopefully solve the problem. Beer, coffee and artificial sugars don't help.Get back to your doctor Royaleddiep3,
Doesn't sound as though this is anything diabetes related. Insist on getting further tests done - ask to see a urologist as others have suggested.
Let us know how you get on.
