Thank you this is like lightning on the corner of my eyes x I have been having them for a few weeks day in day out they have just gotten worse the past few days x

If it is the run up to a migraine then you need to relax .. Stress or being tence will make it happen for longer .. Try not to think about it or watch out for it and hopefully it will pass without the full migraine.

I get the migraine aura, flashing lights, when my blood sugars are low, and did years before the diabetes diagnosis too.
I was looking at the thread @Brunneria wrote on this the other day, about reactive hypoglycaemia and it leading to diabetes, and thinking 'that was me'. Sorry, wandering a bit there ;)
I wonder if you're getting 'lows' because of the hard dieting and maximum control you've gained over the diabetes? Just a thought. xx Debs

Sorry that you are suffering and worrying. As everyone else says it sounds like it could be migraine, I get them sometimes and experience the flashing lights and sometimes iI can be looking at someone's face and part of it will be missing. I just take some strong painkillers, eat something with chillis like Thai food, apply some ice to my head and try to sleep. Have you had your blood pressure checked? That can sometimes be a cause, and the more you worry the more that will affect things. Hope you get everything sorted!
