Positano is very nice.

this should start the ball rolling.

Went to casablanca last year. Bit like down town beirut. Best avoided unless your adventurus lol.
However salamanca in spain is stunning and a great bade to go out exploring rural spain from it is such a beautiful country as long as you stay away from the costa del chav. And Barcelona is supposed to be a romantic gem

No not really ! lol

Italy or cyprus are great destinations!

Thanks guys at least iv a starting point to research! Have been to Barcelona a few times I think we are looking a complete beach/chill out sort of vibe this time but I have to say Italy is appealing. Been to Rome and Milan but never a seaside esque destination. Paul thanks for the fright lol

Symi Greece. We first visited over 15 years ago and have been there over 25 times as we try and do May and September. It's in the Dodecanese and surrounded by Turkey on 3 sides. A beautiful island, lovely people and great food in the tavernas. It has very strict building restrictions so no big hotels here. When the ferry brings us over from Rhodes and we turn a corner around a huge rock it always takes our breath away - very romantic. The port is a breathtaking sight in its amphitheatrical setting with twinkling house lights all around. You can probably tell that I'm smitten

Hi riri - jut reason your posts for a holiday for next year!
Altinkum didim in turkey is incredible! It's romantic, family, couple, singles destination - it has everything here u could ask for :)
However if you want something a little different - try kandersteg in Switzerland - this time of year it is spectacular :) I just came home 13 days ago from a. Week there is was inxredible- the scenes were beautiful - however there was a thunderstorm but that was insanely artistic :) I'm defo going back!
Hope this helps x

rhodes is a must! it has the romantic little coves and lagoons, with the typical sight seeing of the old town. it is split into old town and new town so one day you could be walking round a castle and the next day literally over the road you could be in h&m haha!! there are beaches down almost every side street some pebble and some sand depending on which side of the island you stay! you can also go to turkey for a day trip! it's cheap as well compared to some places!!!! sorry to ramble but I love the place!

It truly is Samantha - it was glorious - I'm an assistant beaver leader so I went with scouts, explorers and other leaders - it was a truly incredible week!
I suppose u don't know what u like until u try :)

Like I love going to turkey and having a holiday by the pool and by the beach but I'd much rather go on a camping holiday or Switzerland again which was a camping holiday but we stayed in this gorgeous house (on a campsite) it was lovely :)
Depends what u want?
But u never know unless u try something different :)
Let us all know which I like :)

I like New Orleans around this time of year, great food and culture, but not everyones cup of tea. The French Quarter is nice.

Kusadasi in Turkey is nice, Santander northen Spain is beautiful. I like the Canaries for chilling and being able to do as little or much as you want. Munich central is pretty, but landlocked. Finland, denmark, norway are great this time of year. Corpus Christi and Galveston , Texas are nice, but long haul and more expensive. How about the Jurassic coast while we still have the weather? Doesn't cost the earth and stunning countryside and coastal walks? Cancun, maybe? There's a lot of choice isn't there it's a big old world. :) have fun.

We are deciding between Jamaica turkey or Malta I think. 5* all inclusive a nice beach a few cocktails and a pile of books to read is what I'm dreaming of right now! Thanks for all the tips!

Hi Samantha :) nice to hear you've narrowed down your choices :) have a good time wherever you decide to go

Cuba - Its amazing - if you want a relaxing on the beach style its perfect, diving and snorkelling is out of this world. Havana is a must the old cars and buildings are amazing. Its not commercialised so no McDonalds or Starbucks and the people are so warm and welcoming. I have been several times and would recommend it to anyone. Food is basic but tasty lots of fresh fish, chicken and salads and fruit. Depending on which part of the island you go to there are some brilliant nature reserves and trips you can do including swimming with dolphins in a marine (natural environment) for about £50. The Houlgin area is where I tend to go but the Cayos are amazing to - islands just of the mainland. Two weeks all inclusive is approx £600-£800 so loads cheaper than the other Caribbean Islands and its still how it was 50+yrs ago!. Djerba off Tuinisa is also amazing - they filmed star wars there a week all inclusive is about 300-400 and if you eat out quite reasonable - a lot cheaper than Italy or Greece however both of them are also nice for a break! :D

Just spent 4 days with wife and dog in South Wales. Nice people and quite cheap. I loved it and could be myself. An excellent bit of money spent. I'm happy, found out my wife also. Likes GLC and had a great time. You don't have to pay the earth to regenerate. I hope it works for you! It is what you make it. Have fun, be safe!

Cape Verde is meant to be absolutely beautiful and because its up-and-coming its not full of ur usual tourists and still reasonably priced at the moment...
