Hi Stephen, Just to let you know mate the smallest needles are BD micro fine 5mm, my 9 yr old son uses them 3 times a day. For the needle phobic,there is also a pen device on the market aimed at kids which delivers the insulin like an invisible jab, ie you don't see the needle its shot into the skin when you press the pen to deliver the insulin, then pull it out.So the only time you see the needle is after the injection. It works well , but to be honest id rather see the needle going in rather than being surprised!!!!
