Does anyone know if there's a cure for a very painful upper left arm? I've been in pain for about six weeks and am having trouble sleeping. My doctor is sending me for tests and thinks its realted to my diabetes (type 2).

This may well be wholly unrelated but my father had pain in his upper left arm, in the end they prescribed antidepressants.
Not for any depression but for the off label effects which relieved him of that pain. I'm afraid I don't have any more details than that.
He now has recovered and is no longer on medication.

Saw a specialist last night and i'm glad tosay he doesn't think it is related to my diabetes after all. He thinks i have done something to my neck (which doesn't hurt) and its causing problems in different areas!
