Love to hear the neurologists recemmendations. I have severe neuropathy in my feet with numbness spreading up my legs.

I was referred to a neurologist pre diabetes due to eyesight issues. After testing for even nastier things and having nerve conduction tests, I was told that yes I do have some peripheral neuropathy (I knew that, but my previous GP did not agree) but it was due to a folate deficiency.
I'm on folate for the foreseeable future as they didn't know why it was so low - however one of the other drugs I'm on can cause low B9/folate and low Vit D.

My B12 level was just into the normal range. A re-test now I've been on folate tablets for a while show both as normal but my B12 is still only just in so I try to eat more eggs and occasionally swap a folate tablet for a multi B one.

Before being diagnosed with MG I went to my GP with difficulties swallowing and was given "artificial saliva" as well as a comment about dental hygiene. This was a waste of time and I ended up at A & E after choking whilst attempting to eat. MG is rare and consequently overlooked, so I would advise you to at least have it eliminated.
Have you any symptoms of swelling around the eyes?

Folate. Is that iron folate?
