Neurologist

I posted some time ago about being referred to see a neurologist to see if there may be any other reason for how numb my legs are, even affecting my arms now.
The hospital have just called to give me an appointment for 12th of October. Even an early morning one. Not to long to wait now. At least now I may get some answers. If not then at least I will know
Love to hear the neurologists recemmendations. I have severe neuropathy in my feet with numbness spreading up my legs.

I was referred to a neurologist pre diabetes due to eyesight issues. After testing for even nastier things and having nerve conduction tests, I was told that yes I do have some peripheral neuropathy (I knew that, but my previous GP did not agree) but it was due to a folate deficiency.
I'm on folate for the foreseeable future as they didn't know why it was so low - however one of the other drugs I'm on can cause low B9/folate and low Vit D.

My B12 level was just into the normal range. A re-test now I've been on folate tablets for a while show both as normal but my B12 is still only just in so I try to eat more eggs and occasionally swap a folate tablet for a multi B one.

Going off topic re neurologist. Am too lazy to start a seperated thread lol. But may help others that may have the same issue.
For months, and months I have had a very dry mouth, gp is aware of this and constantly says it's because I snore. Utter rubbish as my voice sounds very hoarse all day. I saw a new dentist this afternoon, he commented on my croaky voice and commented that my mouth is very dry which in turn will have an effect on my remaining teeth. He was astounded that my gp hadn,t done anything. My dentist is referring me to the ENTIRE,

Before being diagnosed with MG I went to my GP with difficulties swallowing and was given "artificial saliva" as well as a comment about dental hygiene. This was a waste of time and I ended up at A & E after choking whilst attempting to eat. MG is rare and consequently overlooked, so I would advise you to at least have it eliminated.
Have you any symptoms of swelling around the eyes?

Don't be fobbed off.

Not been tested for MG.
No doubt the neurologist will hopefully do tests.
No swelling around my eyes
