Neuropathy

Hi all. Been type 1 since 1976 so around 47 years now. I’ve been on Pregabalin 200 a day since I had Covid, which left me in pain. I’m nearly off it now ( horrible side effects and I felt sure it wasn’t working ). Anyway it was and I now have hand, foot, thigh and interestingly neck/shoulder pain at night. Just an overall feeling of pain. I can’t go back on it as combined with a high statin and epilepsy meds I was really tired and suffered brain fog. Any ideas? I’m working really hard on my blood sugar levels. I’m hoping the pain might subside but feeling doubtful. I really don’t want more drugs as they don’t work well with epilepsy and peripheral vascular disease drugs. Thank you

Hi, after i came out hospital my GP had to start me back on my meds really slowly.
I have Peripheral Neuropathy in my left leg both feet and my hands.
My gp suggested trying Progabalin instead of Gabapentine which i had been on previously, so i tried it increasing the dose weekly after 6 weeks i was climbing the wall because it wasn't doing anything at all, in the my gp put me back on Gabapentine which again had introduce slowly but is working 90% of the time and i can live with that, but i know a lot of people find it works for them.
Hopefully you will a few more suggestions and hope it get resolved for you.
