Hello fellow diabolicals. Advice needed....off for a nerve conductivity test soon for what seems inevitable ( feet, hands, carpal tunnel, frozen shoulder and Dupytrens are all giving me grief ). In the meantime, any ideas for pain? I can't take the anti- depressant type as I'm epileptic or the alpro thing as I'm on thyroxine, and the Pregabalin/Gabapentin things made me hallucinate ( I know you're now thinking 'not enough hours in the day?' ) . Feeling a bit fed up as I don't feel I've many options. My tests are really good now but my phone and hands are now bloody throbbing typing this message. Any ideas would be lovely. Thank you xx

I have had numbness of hands, feet, legs, and lower parts of my body now for 20 years - first few years I was in danger of overdosing on anything to kill the pain. At night I still suffer from "restless legs" but I find that if I go to bed late I can fall asleep before the pain starts. I have also found a tablet called Amatriptolene (don't know how to spell it) helps with "restless legs" pains - but I try not to take them if I can avoid it.
I am now on my 5th frozen shoulder and they usually last for about two and a half years each. I have found no way to ease or solve the problem (I am nearly 75).

I am suffering from neuropathy really badly and had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands, ulna nerve in the elbow was trapped as well and last not least had spinal surgery twice. The outside of my left leg is totally numb, both legs feel on the shins like i have too tight compression stockings on. Burning foot soles, stabbing pain etc is normal, i take twice 150mg Pregabalin and the pain is still there.

Just over a week ago i read on this forum about alpha lipoic acid and bought it straightaway. I believe the pain is much less aggressive at the moment and it certainly has lowered my sugar levels a lot.

Hope you find something and the pain is getting less.
