Hi Guys

Hope you can help. So I was diagnosed with T2 over 2 years ago & had my my baby boy 7 months ago.

For past 5 days I have been experiencing sporadic issues in feet & lower legs. First issue was right foot feeling cold internally & externally especially when sitting down & nights then as days have passed it has flicked between this & sporadic tingling in same areas then today my lower back is a little sore when moving.

I first thought it was physical anxiety symptoms that sm experiencing at present but now on googlibg I now fear it's neorapathy based on what Google tells me.

My confusion is that this issue is known to be caused by high sugar over long period but I've had HBAC1 every 3 months including during pregnancy & all within level. However due to postnatal anxiety I have had apetite issues especially since October ie having little apetite & I admit when I did eat wasnt being thorough about carb content & apetite issues meant I did lose weight.

I'm confused as despite issues I was taking my pills & never noticed issues before. From your experiences do I possibly have neuropathy? I have doc app on Thursday but worry is affecting my anxiety.

Hi hughinoo
I've been t2 coming up four years in May, despite a steadily decreasing HBa1c and weight I know have diabetic neuropathy in my feet and recently my hands. Best thing to do is see your GP as it might well be something completely different.
It does have advantages though, I was always ticklish on the soles of my feet now I can't feel anything! Do you get a frequent foot check at reviews?
Seriously though get it checked out by a real doctor not doctor Google. Please let us know how you get on on Thursday.

Thanks I thought it was other things like I mentioned eg anxiety? Trapped nerve? Especially since it was sudden, I can still feel my feet & numbness I felt in nighttime could have been weight from other leg

Could also be lack of quinine so tonic water before bed is supposed to help but I can't stand it without the gin and we gave up alcohol 17 years ago.

Happy to report my GP thinks it's my anxiety as it can cause neuropathy type symptoms. Am still struggling though as it's aching after I walk so am gonna go to chiropodist. Good thing is I can still feel things eg touch of my foot etc.

So pleased that it isn't neuropathy did you get any help with the anxiety? Might be why my feet are playing up at the moment as really stressed, still waiting to sign the lease on our new home, was told last week only two days work left so really expected to be told on Friday it was ready but no-one knows anything. Thank goodness we have a wonderful patient removals man, he's been waiting since April and we've been waiting for it to be finished since the 8th January 2019. Stress is my middle name!.

Aaw poor u. I feel for u. I deal with mortgage customers in my job so its similar stories. I've been actively getting help with anxiety since son was born that's I helping to manage it. Still not fully convinced it's not neuropathy so hoping chiropodist will put mind at ease

Thanks alot for ur help ur responses really did help me. Hopefully things on up for us both soon
