Has anyone had a Nerve Decompression operation done for Neuropathy of their feet? I have been looking for information on what seems to be a controversial treatment. I can find a bit about it in USA, where it can be called Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, an operation can be called Nerve Release or Decompression, and there is a pioneered treatment called the Dellon Triple Nerve Release. I am in Australia and the major treatment for ongoing problems with the toes and ulcerated wounds seems to be amputation of affected areas. The US treatments work along the lines of a Carpal Tunnel Release but for legs/feet and supposedly have an 80% success rate of restoring sensation to the feet - if done early enough. I would love to hear from anyone that has had this done, or knows of someone who has had this done. I have never read about it on this forum.
Cheers,
Jane
