Don't have diabetes
Hello, I'm a reactive hypoglycemic w/o diabetes. I check my bsl often and I also eat around 6+ times a day. I often face the issue of incorrectly gauging Jew much food to bring with me to work and elsewhere. I also face the issue with muy family failing to buy food that I can actually eat? Any solutions, tips?

Hi, @Aestire
Welcome to the forum.
I too have non diabetic reactive hypoglycaemia.
We do have our own forum. This is where you will find lots of really good information about how we control the condition. We have been where you are now!
And it is difficult especially with family and probably everyone else around you not understanding why you can't eat like a normal person!
But I'm not normal, I'm weird, my eating habits have to be different, if I don't want to be ill, and I don't want to be ill!
This condition is so individual and you have to find out what foods make you ill.
If you have got a glucometer, you will need to get to know the best way of using the monitor and if you haven't started one, a food diary is vitally important as a way of tracking your results and how food effects you.
As I say there is lots of information on our forum, it also worth having a look at the low carb forum, plenty of ideas and recipes and tips about food.
The condition is about food and the ones that produce the insulin that is not needed.
Diet is vital in controlling the condition.
If you have questions, please ask!
If you want to rant about lack of care and the struggle that all of us with RH have to go through, go ahead and rant.
We know how frustrating this is and we can help you through this. You are not alone.
Please let us help you.

Best wishes.
