I never had any symptoms before being diagnosed T2 nothing at all, but i do go through spells of being cold usually during the night when working. I test my bloods and cannot tie this to a drop in my blood sugar levels at these times, i have been doing this even before being diagnosed??. I am on no medication have taken control of my blood sugar levels, i am on a strict low carb high protien diet, i have lost three stone in weight , all seems good but still get these sudden chill periods my hands go cold unnaturally cold and i have to put on a coat. No one i work with gets this and wondered if anyone else out there get this??? or has any info.

Come this time of the year I tend to feel the chill factor, and my family think I should wear more clothes etc; as they prefer windows opened all those breezes that they call fresh air. My doctor has told me that I have slight Raynaud’s and to wear gloves etc; and try to keep warm, well before it starts to come.
If you have plenty of money you could move to a hotter climate:):).
Body heat can be lost from other symptoms so best get get it checked out from your GP

Thanks for the reply`s guys, had this in just my thumb for a while usually when driving, doctor just passed it off as nothing that has since stopped, still get the full chills though, i would love to move somewhere warmer i love to be in the 30`s + think that's maybe age though cant be too warm, wife and kids might say different. Okay Must just be me then that gets this, thought maybe something to do with diabetes, probably a side effect of working night shift wish it was hot flushes instead.Thanks.

you need to eat more fat/oils if you are cold
I wouldn't eat high protein and if you do, make sure your kidney eGFR blood test is above 90

a lot eat low carb high fat
