Now reading all I can about Type 1 diabetes, I went downstairs to tell hubby what I'd read on another site about life expectancy........I sort of gathered he wasn't that interested when he said "Here, watch this goal.Considering he'san actor, isn't that brilliant?" I'd spoken on the phone to eldest son earlier(inviting him and his wife round for dinner later in the week) and also told him what the specialist had to say when I saw him....no response whatsoever.......in the background I could hear the footie!
It's true what they say....never come between a man and his football!I could try running in front of the telly naked but I don't want to frighten the cat!

I did "interrupt" the footie once with an old boyfriend.... he wouldn't shut up for ages about the "sacrifice" he'd made!!! It's not as if he didn't enjoy it....

Luckily my hubby hates football!!! :D

I am luck as my hubby only watched the England games - like I do. I never understood the not listening thing though - surely they could watch and still listen to you, after all it is not the noise they make that has interest is it only the actions! Perhaps it comes down to the male lack of ability to multitask!!

Incidentally - as I would like to know - what did you find out about T1 life expectancy? I have not been able to find out anything that differenciates between T1 and T2. I am also interested if there is a difference related to when you are diagnosed or if it all balances out in the end.

I am not going to repeat what I found Troubr because it varies from site to site and so it wouldn't be helpful or positive for me to post it. I just thought my hubby might have been interested...though judging by his response I'm more surprised he didn't say "Your life span will be even shorter if you don't shut up and go away!"
