You seem to have got the idea and it is difficult to suggest anything other than patience and going for walks. In my opinion the larger part of the drop in BS is probably due to the diet since, in my case, it had a much greater effect than the pills.
So go for a walk every day if you are able and then give it time.
Brilliant. Let us know how you get on.Thanks again, I'll try some exercise in the house for now, see if that kickstarts some weightloss and I'm going to try and go out by myself, just 5 mins a day at a start, just to the bottom of the street and back.
I find exercise easier when I don't have a choice. I don't drive, and live in an area with plenty of hills. Many of my clients live at the tops of said hills, and I can't afford to get there via public transport. Therefore, if I want to get to them, I have to exercise!
It may help to have something else new to focus on too. My suggestion is to think of a skill you have always wanted to learn, or an instrument you have always wanted to play, anything really. Find a club/teacher/group for whatever that is! trying to make sure they are a fair distance away. Not 6 hours away at the top of a mountain, just far enough that you get a bit of a workout getting to them.
I have never been overweight, but the way I ate before low carbing, I certainly feel like I should have been. I found once I started the low carb diet, focusing a lot on my piano playing took my mind off constant eating. It started off as a struggle, but I soon started seeing the results. I finally managed to play pieces I had wanted to play for years, and my appetite got more under control because I wasn't giving myself as much time to think about food.
So to summarise, I suggest new hobby, walking to get to it, and focusing on that to take your mind off food. (I apologise if this seems like I am oversimplifying the possibilities, I know it takes a lot of work to make the changes we are aiming for).
Hi, if you are taking 2 different meds that are supposed to encourage weight gain, then staying the same weight is good going, some people would say calorie counting is the way forward, you could (if you don't already) make a food diary using myfitnesspal app or on the pc, this will give you a breakdown of calories as well as carbs and everything else, if for example your eating a zillion calories a day then you could try reducing them for a week and see if that has any effect, but don't give up the low carbing your doing great and your bg numbers are the most important thing
sounds scrummy
well if you are eating so well, tracking it may reveal you are in fact eating too few calories, this can have the same effect with the lack of weight loss, either way its handy to know, because this helps formulate a plan
edit: do you have double cream with the jelly? sooo good
edit edit if you are eating too few double cream will help bump it up lol
There is a woman on Youtube called Leslie Sansone who does walking at home exercise routines. They are simple to follow so it is possible to watch telly while following what she is doing at the same time. Good for building up your legs for outdoor walking. Good luck Swinks

Hi Swinks. I'm only on day 4 of LCHF but have had headaches. IVe put it down to lack of fluids. They get better if I drink plenty. Mind you it's hard to keep up with all the weeing! If your only toilet is upstairs you'll be getting some exercise alreadyThat sounds great! Thanks!
Also I've been having really bad headaches, could it be the gliclazide (I take 30mg slow release) or the diet?
It feels like a hangover
