new fancy machine ! -Abbott Insulinx

Hi guys i dont really post much but thought i would .

Had an appointment with the dn today and was given a new blood machine im just looking for any reviews on it.

Its the freestyle insulinx, does any one have an feedback for it or am i the first on here to get it.

My dn said that not alot of people in my area have it

I've seen the meter demonstrated but have not had a chance to personally test it. I'd be interested to hear well its recommendations are. It seemed like quite a user friendly meter.

Have you found the meter to be helpful with your doses? Did your diabetes nurse recommend/provide the meter?

yeah its amazing , yip my dn provided it but unfortunately my health board doesnt have enough money to provide all diabetics with one as the retail at £150.

Thought id try on here to see if other people had used it yet

I got one of these 2 weeks ago, very easy to use, and for once I can email the dln's my results and they can open them ( my prev one touch ultra smart) they didnt have the software on the computers @ the hospital to read it, so thats easier, I'll give it a 2thumbs up
