There is a new scheme being rolled out during 2015.
GPs will be able to opt out basically from
Having to do fit for work notes after 4 weeks.


Not many people will be aware of this. It was trialled by 20 Practices in Sheffield.

Interesting reading....

I can't find too much else about this on the internet at the moment, but from what I've read ut is being aimed more towards persons with depression.. Or mental illness.

I think most Practicess will sign up to this, as they may see it as freeing up an appointment for somebody else and genuine help for persons with depression etc. our Practice haven't got a Counsellor anymore so I would think that they would encourage patients to agree to this.
Am going to ask anyway, as working patients need to be informed what the Govt are now introducing...
