Hello

Newly diagnosed with T2 after being pig headed and ignoring my symptoms, finally gave in and had a blood test which came back with starship numbers....sent the Docs into panic mode
My name is Jackie age 61 live in Robin Hood country in the UK. Currently on metaformin x 2 and things have improved and now testing between normal and lower range prediabetic

My main hobby is showing my dogs and hoping to return to the ring once my energy levels improve

It can be quite a whirlwind when you get the news.
Basic first advice is normally
(1) Research low carb
(2) Get a meter
(3) Eat to that meter

I have chickens myself...tried with some Langshan eggs but no luck ,. I have marans but my speciality seems to be Green egg layers as they keep vanishing into nettles and bringing more lodgers home
