I started a new chefs job on Monday which is quite busy so had a temp basal in place with a reduction of 50% but still had 2 small hypo's, so on Teusday I set it to a 60% reduction, both from 5.30am up until 1pm and ran it like that for the rest of the week.

Still had a couple of minor hypo's but with a weeks worth of bloods and basal rates I have set up a new "work day" basal pattern, Ive gone from 9.24 units down to 7.13 units per day whilst working which I find a fair bit of a drop in basal needed.

It may still need a tweak or 2 in the next few weeks and may even need less, has anyone else ever had to do something similar?

I am finding between 3pm and 7pm my basal rate is tiny, but it works so I'm happy

Yay re new job @Gaz-M - sounds v busy but I hope all's going really well for you!

:)

Thanks Snapsy :) its not like my other cooking jobs I have had in the past, I am cooking in bulk for breakfasts and lunches at the University. Hard work but easier than cooking to order hahaha

I have a work week basal that is a lot lower than my weekend basal I just switch it over on a Monday works for me :)

I have done that now, just wanted some idea of what basal I needed when at work so gave it a week and then set a new basal rate for when I,m at work
