Hi everyone. I'm a newby to this lark as T2 diagnosis was only a few weeks ago. I'm interested in the LCHF diet but as my cholesterol is also raised (6.2) I'm concerned the high level of fat may make that figure worse. Has anyone any experience of this?

Hi, others on here are more knowledgeable than I but basically a total cholesterol figure is fairly meaningless, far more important is how the figures break down into LDL, HDL, Triglycerides and ratios. A lot of people on lchf report that they get a temporary rise in cholesterol total but that they get better figures eventually. Hope this helps a bit and welcome:).
