I don't think you need to worry too much about the needle scratch, but if it plays on your mind then consult your pharmacy, doctor or practice nurse for reassurance.
Back in the 70's 80's and 90's. I used to recover children who had had their teeth out with gas. I did this over a period of 20+ years on and off. Not only did I have to wake them, and console the parents, I also had to stop the bleeding before they could go home. I did this with no gloves, mask or safety glasses until the late 80's. I also had some needle stick injuries from needles for numbing mouths and scaling instruments used to clean teeth by a dentist over the years, as I was a dental nurse. I had hepatitis inoculations every 3 years after the early 90's, as health and safety was then coming into force in the workplace.
I am pleased to say I am still healthy (even with type 2 diabetes).
You have shared many things with your husband no doubt over the years, so I do not think that this injury could harm you :thumbup:
