Hi
I am new to this forum so I may be in the wrong place sorry if I am!
To introduce my self. I am a retired nurse/midwife who got married 7 years ago. My husband is diabetic type 2 and was on insulin when we met. This was no problem to me as I have a mother with the same problem!
5 years ago we moved to France and the care MOH has had since has been fantastic. Last year after increasing insulin and adding Lantus he was prescribed Byetta. What a wonderful difference. He was walking like a robot - as the consultant said and was having pain too. Now he has lost 20kilos and can walk normally also blood results within normal limits. He is seen at least twice a year and we have at least 30 mins per appointment!
Today we have been to see the consultant (by the way she is 40 something and small and very attractive!) anyway he has now been prescribed Victoza one injection a day and ib 12 to 18 months will be on one injection a WEEK!!! That is in the future! My query is about the Victoza any hints and tips would be very welcome.
Thank you in anticipation.

hello trouty - welcome to the forum :) Your husband is a lucky man having you looking after his diabetes! I'm afraid I don't know anything about Victoza but there are lots of people on here who do and you should soon get an answer to your query.

Hi trouty.
Welcome to the Forum. As Nigel said there is a growing thread VICTOZA which is situated in 'Diabetes Medication and Drugs' section. There is also an extensive thread entitled BYETTA in the same section.
Many of the questions you might have may well have been answered there so please do have a read, however just ask away if you need more answers.
