hi all i'm robbie i have been a type 1 diabetic since 1984, and suffer with peripheral neuropathy. i am going for my 4th lazer treatment on my eyes for diabetic retinopathy on the 20th april 2009.
the insulins i take are novorapid and lantus.
Oh Dear!
I expect it's because the anaesthetists have a mximum number of hours. My friend's daughter was prepped for theatre to have a stent fitted, when the samething happened to her.
My husband has had about 8/10 laser treatments and there was never an anaesthetist there.
What kind of treatment were you due to have?
