Long time reader and occasional poster here.

I get my T2 test every six months at the local GP. For the last two tests, my results say that NHS now use some new bio-rad test/machine and my hba1c has been lowest since I was diagnosed. I generally hover around 50-52 range ( i eat less carb and exercise etc)
but the test in Sep 25 was 46 and now in April its 45.

Feb 24 - 54
Jun 24 - 50
Jun 25 - 53
Sep 25 - 46
Apr 26 - 45

I am happy with result but I am also sceptical about this. I have not made any significant life style changes , if anything may be my carb intake goes up during winter.

Has any one else noticed the same that the latest test are reading lower?

Local nurse said few more people have expressed similar comments after testing recently.

thanks

What part of the country are you in? My recent HbA1c test hasn’t descended significantly. I eat low carb too, have done since diagnosis 5 years ago. At first the meds brought it down but it went up… It depends obviously what happens within 3 months and the rises I think are because we’ve gone on holidays and I haven’t been able to get the meals I need
